Desire!!!

January 2, 2013

Right now I’m feeling like shit. Cold, Headache, Sick, Ertha’s the works. Reckon I’d still show more desire to win a football match than that lot last night. I’m also 55 with two dodgy knees.

Results earlier in the day, meant Arsenal had to grab three points to keep in touch with those around us looking to grab that fourth spot. A pathetic (no other word) performance from the lads was what we got.  I’ll leave Jack out of this as at least he showed he cared.

What I am saying is about last night’s match only. Two bloody shots at goal in 90 mins, what’s going on? Southampton showed spirit, fight, determination, desire. They looked better all round for long periods. They wanted it so much more than us.

Szczesny once again left stranded for the goal. A rubbish pass that left Koscielny under pressure and when the ball ran loose to Sagna, what the hell was he thinking slicing the ball across the area to cause all sorts of problems for Saints to go 1-0 up.

Theo was all alone up front as Podolski was AWOL again. I saw comments that Theo got no service, well he should move about a bit and when the ball is not coming his way, go looking for it. Theo’s free Kick caused enough of a problem for Saints to score for us to make it 1-1.

Let’s face it we have played like last night quite a few times now. As the game wears on you’s normally expect with the players we have that even on a bad day, we’ll create just enough to scrape through, but not anymore. When Arsenal don’t turn up like last night, it’s just awful and painful to watch.

Sagna and Gibbs were shocking, more so Sagna who looked like he was playing with a blindfold on. I have never seen Sagna have such a poor game.

TV5 and Kos don’t look comfortable in that central pairing. The rest of the players not much better.

Then you have Arsene on the touch-line all flustered, looking annoyed at what he is seeing from his team, yet does little to do anything about it. Sits there. Get off your arse, go to edge of technical area and blast the players.

Why Ramsey and not Rosicky?

Get off your backside Arsene and sign 3/4 players NOW!!! not wait till it’s too late on Jan 31st. Get them in ready for City home match. You say you’ll be active in the window. Well I hope its a bit more active than you are on the touchline when your team is struggling to simply pass the ball to each other.

TV5 (Let’s keep spirit and confidence) and Kos (This month is important for us) enough of your shit on Arsenal.com why did you not both show it last night? Walk the walk, not talk the talk.

You know what, being ill while writing this, like the players last night I have no desire to continue.

Right where’s my medicine?

Cheers
