Morning Gooners. Match day..

I have to start off with yesterday’s results.

Man Utd beat Aston (take it up the arse) Villa 4-0. It must be so annoying for Alex McLeish to be SAF’s bitch and always bend over for him, when his teams play Man Utd. Ashley Young making another shocking dive to win a penalty to put Man Utd 1-0 up. If anything Ashley Young’s left foot stood on Clark’s foot and then his right foot came round and kicked Clark’s leg. Therefore it should have been a free-kick to Villa. Ashley Young should be totally ashamed of himself and to do it against his old club. Wayne Rooney is closing in on RVP’s golden boot. Well when you have a diver like Ashley Young in your side and you can grab nine penalties in your total, life is made a whole lot easier. Rio Ferdinhand does not make it any better on Twitter. For a guy who likes to mention “Stay on your feet” he seems to think Ashley’s dive was not that bad.

I would say that was does not help here, is that when a player is fouled in the box and does not go down, the refs are loath to point to the spot. So maybe in some circumstances players feel they have to dive, make more of it,  to get the penalties they feel they deserve. Please Refs sort yourself out. Many of you have been doing the job long enough and should be experienced enough to spot what is and what is not a dive.

Then the FA Cup Semi-Final. Chelsea’s 2nd goal was another of the days shocking piece of refereeing. This was by the same ref (Atkinson) that did not even award a free kick for Balotelli’s tackle on Alex Song. Should we be surprised? The ball did not cross the line by a long chalk. How Atkinson could give the goal, considering where he was standing and the view he had, is anyone’s guess.  Even John Terry who was on the line did not thunk it went over the line. This was at 1-0 to Chelsea and the non-goal made it 2-0. I suppose in defence of Atkinson we could say the FIFA, UEFA and the hapless FA have dragged their feet for so long that mistakes like these should not be happening and video technology would have protected today ref from the flack he is going to get.

Spurs got a goal back shortly after through Bale.

Typical bit of luck for Arsenal here, as when the ball was put through to Adebayor, Luis fell down injured and Cech brought Ade down, the ball ran loose to Bale to score. I wanted the penalty as Cech would have sent off. This could have led to no Cech, Ivanovic or Luis (who subsequently went off) in next weeks game.

From here the real fun started as Chelsea through Ramires bagging a 3rd, Lampard  a cracking free kick for the 4th.

Sad looking Harry.. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. Harry has come out and said Spurs will definitely finish in the top eight.

and then Malouda sliding in the 5th to complete the rout and end up thrashing the tiny Totts 5-1. Let’s all laugh at Tottenham!!! Let’s all laugh at Tottenham!!!

Where’s your shit fans gone? Where’s your shit fans gone?

So while the media make a song and dance over the weekends fixtures Arsenal quietly can get on with the job tonight at the Emirates we can go 8 points clear of Spuds, Newcastle and 10 pts clear of Chelsea. So come on Gooners let’s do it.  Looks like the team should be as normal with maybe Rosicky coming back in for Ramsey.

Right work to do.

CU laters.
