Arsenal News 13 April 2012

Good afternoon Gooners…

Arsène Wenger in his morning pre match presser, reports Arsenal have no new injuries for the Wigan game, which is amazing as Wolves had Karl Henry in their line up.

It looks like Gibbs could be back to replace Santos. However, I prefer Santos right now. The guy has so much skill. That Brazilian flair and risk about him that makes watching him exciting. Santos may not be the greatest defender but I like him.

The extra from Star Trek when a Klingon has to be killed off Hab SoSII’ Quch (which means “your mother has a big forehead” so it says on a website by some saddo who has created a language for Klingons) is also a strong possibility of making it back into the squad for the Wigan game.

Diaby and Coquelin will not make it but should be training next week.

Did you know? All but three of Arsenal’s 35 league goals at home this season have come from open play (two direct free kicks and one goal from a corner). Can we have a bloody plenalty this week ref? Robin van Persie has scored or assisted 59 goals in his last 50 Premier League appearances. Know whatever way you look at it, that is some going in the Premier League. Not like the two What cannon fodder can we score against this week in La Liga, Messi and Ronaldo. Both with 200 goals and assists each already.

Talk from Yossi Benayoun that he is disappointed with his role at Arsenal or lack of games… Yossi says he has a good relationship with Chelsea and also loves it at Arsenal, keep your options open Yossi, good lad!!! Personally I’d keep the lad, even if he does look like the Remy in Ratatouille.

Sol Campbell… The legend of the invincibles is having his tuppence worth about Arsenal having to splash the cash and doubting if Arsenal have the bottle to go for it. Leave it out Sol, go look at the mob you sued to play for, they splashed the cash. They let a spiv spend it as well and bags more than Arsenal spend and look at them now.

Former Gunners defender Campbell told BBC Sport:

“You’ve got to ask yourself, where are Arsenal going? Do they want to actually win anything? “You can have players for the future but it is about getting players who can make a difference now.”

Wenger, gave a humorous reply.

“Sol Campbell has a lot of money, his gifts are welcome,” said the Frenchman.”If he gives us money, we will spend it, believe me. The best way always to give advice is to show example. Give your own money and we will spend it.”

Little bit of transfer gossip in the media and floating around the web.. You know the score, I know a bloke, who knows a bloke, who knows a bird who works down the chip shop, whose brother works a Sky Sports source and talks b****x.. I prefer to wait till WWWWWWWLWW.Arsenal.com has a picture of said signing wearing an Arsenal Jersey or a scarf wrapped round his neck. Not tight enough in Squillachi’s case.

What with “The Arsenal” not playing till Monday night at 8pm (what’s that all about?) means us Gooners get a weekend break, while the big FA Cup Semi’s are played.

Liverpool v Everton. 70,000 Scousers coming down the M62/M6/M1 into London all crying Calm Down!!! Calm down!!! Why they could not play up at Old Trafford I do not know… Well I do actually, that bunch of idiots that run football in this Country sold their soul to the Devil when building Wembley and now need as much cash as they can get. Maybe this is why so many players are getting banned and fined.

Yeah! Does anyone know what happens to this money? It’s like writing your own cheques.

I’ll be cheering for the Toffee’s on this one.

Then on Sunday we have the almost big London Derby (well it can’t be BIG) Arsenal are not playing. Chelsea take on Spuds. My only concern in this match is that both teams kick the living daylights out of each other and three players sent off from each side. plus a good few injuries.

I really do not give a Gareth Bale who wins. Maybe if pushed I’d plump for Spuds and see them lose to Everton in the final. Reason? I reckon greedy wide-boy ‘Arry Redknapp would see that as the way to go and give up top four.

Man City take a trip to Norwich and would be hoping to take three points to close the gap on United to two points… However, on Sunday Man Utd are at home to bend over and take it up the Arse Aston Villa, where if some strange reason they do turn up and give United a game, United will just call upon the services of the ref-of-the-day to get them out of a whole.

Cheers and remember stay safe out there.
