Arsenal News 2 March 2012 Match Day approaches

March 2, 2012

Good Morning… It’s Friday again… That week flew by thanks to the help of the old & needy from the lane that time forgot. I’m not going to forget, been feeling great all week : Amy McDonald – This is the Life

On The England managers job, I seriously hope ‘Arry the wide boy doesn’t it. Right now he is having his 15mins. Once this season ends and Spurs have to cope with renewing a lot of players salaries, stadium and the higher profile, his 15mins will end. This is Spurs best season for ages and also their swansong.

I see Lady Nina has been made Honorary Vice-President of the club. Maybe now she can put some of the huge sum of cash she took when selling up and give it back to help the club. The words “I won’t hold my breath” come to mind.

Now it’s a trip up north to play the Bindippers…Alright, calm down, ay! ay!

Anfield it is then and one can only hope that the team that showed up v Spuds is the same one that shows up v Liverpool. I for one am hoping that extra time and penalties took something out of Liverpool last weekend. Should we get a result, it would take us 10 pts clear of the Mickey’s and that should be enough to see them off for 4th spot.

Looking at Liverpool’s home form it’s sort of muchness. They have not lost as yet, but only won four out of twelve games and amazingly only scored 14 goals, that’s shocking, only three teams have scored less at home.

Early team news :

Liverpool : will be missing Agger who has Rib injury (got laughing at Spurs result before they played Cardiff last weekend). Stevie (Starfish) Me could be out with a tight hamstring and Glenn Johnson is out suspended.

Arsenal : Seems with have no injuries from international duties this week, so we should be able to stick with same team as last week. No news of Rosicky injury from last week, so maybe it was just small and to get him out of International, which we call in the trade “The Fergie Ploy”

Mark Lawrenson watch : Has the game down as a 1-1 draw. Mark says ”

Last week’s fantastic comeback to beat Tottenham 5-2 was a great way for Arsenal to bounce back from a difficult couple of weeks. That game probably summed up where the Gunners are at the moment, because for half of it they looked a complete mess – almost shambolic.

Bit strong Mark, HALF the game, 20 mins maybe?

Also saw this article on Owen Coyle in the Daily Mail. Sounds like another manager we might now. I reckon he is using a blueprint.

Not much news about Arsenal around today and they say “no news is good news” so that’s it from me for today. Have a great Friday and stay safe out there.

Finally there maybe some of you that don’t listen to the Tuesday Club podcast with Alan Davies and crew. It’s well worth a listen…
