Arsenal News 24 February 2012

February 24, 2012

Morning All… It’s FRIDAY!!!!  Two days till NLD…  My iPod “shuffle mode” did me proud on today’s commute into work, all feel good songs…. Now the Harmonica is not the sexiest instrument there is… However, Canned Heat do it justice… Country Blues, with a bit of Boogie… Bring it on Home Check it Out…

The famous Tottenham Hotspur went to Rome to see the Pope*,
The famous Tottenham Hotspur went to Rome to see the Pope,
The famous Tottenham Hotspur went to Rome to see the Pope
and this is what he said……………….. “f*ck off!” Who’s that team they call the Arsenal?

who’s that team we all adore?
They’re the boys in Red and white
and they’ll fight with all their might
and we’re out to show the world the way to score.

A very good reason NOT to believe what the papers say. The Telegraph reporting that Arsene Wenger has £100m in his sky-rocket just burning a hole, waiting to be spent. Apparently Arsene wants Goetze and Hazard. Mind you, I would sign up for some of that, and chuck in hardcore midfielder and hard as nuts centre half… Good bye Squillaci….

Now I like to think I am as positive as they come when it comes to “The Arsenal” however, as you may have noticed what does annoy me a little bit (a lot in fact) is players talking a good game when we aren’t actually playing that well. One of the biggest culprits right now is Johan Djourou who is at it again on Johan is saying “we must prove we are Kings of London” well Johan how about doing us a favour by pulling on your boots and actually going out on the big expanse of green they call a football pitch and doing something to STOP That lot scoring, rather than being an accident waiting to happen. It looks to me if Arsenal have signed you up for a new £50k contract, that’s more to do with being the face of, than actually anything you could do for the team on the pitch.

After much discussion with the Club from fans groups, the club Ivan Gazidis (Free Video as well) have announced that Gold Season Ticket prices will not rise next season, yet the money men of the Club Level upwards might have to stump up a few more green backs for their tickets.

Looks like my POTS (bar RVP) Koscielny is going to be fit and Stan “The Invisible Man” Kroenke will attend the NLD Sunday.

Look out for a new blog of mine in the next week titled “Arsenal FC 1973-1976 Troubled Times”. Supporting Arsenal through these years makes today’s Arsenal look like world champions.

Not much other news around today, which could be a good thing. When the newspapers are quiet on the Arsenal front, there must be trouble elsewhere. @mkwolf1877

finally from @mkwolf1877 on twitter  – Liverpool have asked Wembley Officials if flares are allowed in the stadium as last time they were there everyone was wearing them!!!

Stay safe out there.
